The God of deception returned to Disney+. To announce the arrival of the second season of Loki on the platform, we devised an event brimming with fakes, transformations, and changes.
Our aim was to surprise fans of the character and anyone passing through one of Madrid’s most iconic locations: Príncipe Pío Station. We sought to provide them with a unique experience and generate ample content for social media.
With the excuse of the protagonist’s time-traveling in the new season of the series, we created a mapping that altered the appearance of Príncipe Pío Station. Initially, it morphed into a wooden building from the mid-19th century, then amusement park at the beginning of the 20th century, and finally into an Aztec-style construction adorned with mosaic. Each transformation was preceded by a change in the clock on the facade alongside Miss Minutes, a clock that shares the spotlight with Loki in the series.
However, the objective of deceiving the more than a thousand people gathered there wasn’t enough. To extend the trick to the largest possible audience, we enlisted one of the top content creators of the moment: Misho. Misho entertained and teased, as Loki does, the attendees who responded to the call. For over an hour, he asked questions, took photos with participants, and awarded prizes to those who proved to be Loki’s most dedicated fans. And all of this, naturally, was streamed on his Twitch channel, reaching an additional 30,000 viewers.
In this way, we managed to convey to both the physical and digital audience the sensations and emotions of the series and one of Marvel’s most legendary characters.
